1. Technical Accuracy & Peer Review
Before relying on a guide or benchmark, confirm its author, source date and project-specific assumptions. Contact BuildMetric if reviewer information or a source is missing.
Estimates, labor productivities, and unit pricing reference numbers are cross-referenced with established industry standards including CSI MasterFormat, RSMeans, and ASPE (American Society of Professional Estimators) guidelines.
2. Independence & Objectivity
Our software reviews and tool recommendations are entirely independent. We evaluate takeoff software, BIM tools, and estimating platforms based purely on technical capabilities, speed, accuracy, and value for general contractors and trade subcontractors.
3. Updates & Corrections
Construction material prices, labor productivity benchmarks, and building codes evolve rapidly. Reference values without published sources and observation dates should not be treated as current prices. Confirm wage requirements, supplier quotes and specifications for the actual project.
